It is just as important to look after your lash extensions as it is for your Lash Artist to prepare your lashes prior to application. You have not just spent your hard-earned money but also your precious time having beautiful eyelash extensions applied. So why is it important to follow the Eyelash Extensions Aftercare that your lash artist has given you?
- You will have better lash retentions and spend less time in the salon having your lashes applied
- Your lashes will look beautiful for longer
- Your natural lashes will not suffer and remain healthy
So what Eyelash Extensions Aftercare should you follow?
We have put together some important advice for you to follow, however do make sure you follow the advice of your lash artist as well, as they after all know your lashes the best.
What you SHOULD be doing:
DO be gentle around your eyes, don’t rub or pick at your extensions as this may be damage the natural lashes
DO use a mascara wand, these are great for grooming your lashes each day
DO gently wash daily with eyelash cleanser, keeping the root area clean. The most recommended eyelash cleansers are Chrissanthie Eye Cleanse™ Foam Eyelid Cleanser with Tea Tree, as well as the LC Eyelash & Brow Cleanser
What you SHOULDN’T be doing:
DO NOT perm, tint or use eyelash curlers
DO NOT use oil-based mascara on your extensions as they contain chemical properties that will break down the adhesive, instead use the BLINK range Black Diamond Coating Sealant. This product not only increases bonding strength, extending the life of the lashes but it also leaves a lovely glossy finish
